5th All Saints Guides meet weekly during term time. We have approximately 20 guides, 3 Leaders – Rachel, Jess and Laura, young leaders and 2 unit helpers that help when needed – Clive and Keith.
We are part of Widnes West district, in the Widnes Division of Cheshire forest part of the northwest GGUK region. Our district commissioner is Linda Wain and our division commissioner is Clair Picton.
We are an inclusive unit encouraging participation from girls with a wide range of abilities and from a variety of different backgrounds. We enjoy playing games, completing challenge badges, singing around the campfire, messy craft activities, learning about guides in other countries, outdoor activities and camping! We have 4 patrols: Dolphins, Lions, Pandas and Elephants.
We recently joined forces with the brownie, rainbow and senior section units in our company to celebrate our guide centenary on All Saints Big Adveture. They also join us during our Christmas craft extravaganzas and our winter craft festival.
As a church sponsored unit and we encourage the girls to attend church parade on the second Sunday of each month. This service is typically aimed at the young people.
